Funding and Fees
At Speech Bubble Clinic, we aim to make accessing speech pathology services as straightforward as possible. Below is an overview of the funding options we support and our fee structure.
NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)
We provide services for clients with Self-Managed and Plan-Managed NDIS funding.
All services are billed at $193.99 per hour, in line with current NDIS pricing guidelines.
Assessments:
Assessments include administration of standardised tests, clinical observations and interviews with clients and/or parents.
Assessments typically range between 1.5-2 hours and include 30-minute indirect time for scoring, analysis, and interpretation of assessment results.
Travel is charged separately at a maximum rate of up to $48.49 for 30 minutes of travel, based on actual travel time, as per NDIS guidelines.
Therapy Sessions:
Our speech pathology sessions are:
- 60 minutes direct therapy + 10 minutes indirect time
- 50 minutes direct therapy + 10 minutes indirect time
- 45 minutes direct therapy + 10 minutes indirect time

Please note: We are currently unable to offer services for clients with NDIA-managed
or Agency-managed plans.
Additional Services
Report Writing
Comprehensive report preparation includes:
- Individualised therapy recommendations and goal planning
- Written reports for initial assessments or NDIS plan reviews
- Electronic copy of the report provided
Professional Consultations
- Collaboration with other professionals or educators via phone, video calls, or email regarding your therapy plan. This includes time spent communicating and documenting meetings.
- Consultations are scheduled with your consent before fees are charged.
Please note: Rates are reviewed periodically in line with NDIS guidelines, and any fee changes will be communicated to you in advance.
Private Clients
Private clients seeking speech pathology services are welcome. Sessions are charged at $97/ 30 minutes. Please contact us to discuss fees and available options.
Private Health Funds
Speech Bubble Clinic is a registered provider for speech pathology services with many private health funds. Please check directly with your health fund regarding rebates and eligibility under your level of cover.
Please note: Rates are reviewed periodically in line with NDIS guidelines, and any fee changes will be communicated to you in advance.
Medicare Plans
Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM)
Issued by a GP or Paediatrician for clients with chronic medical conditions, allowing up to five allied health sessions (including speech pathology) per calendar year. Check your eligibility with your GP or Paediatrician.
Helping Children with Autism
Children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) can claim rebates for:
- Up to four allied health assessment sessions (total per child)
- Up to 20 allied health treatment sessions (total per child)
Please Note: Assessments must be completed before age 13, and treatment before age 15 (diagnosis before age 13). A referral from a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist is required.
